Sign up to be part of the Quantum Ambassador Programme.
The Quantum Ambassadors Programme aims to engage young people in science and emerging technologies, enable them to understand the scientific process and enhance their understanding of quantum physics and technology concepts, while also signposting relevant career pathways. It is aimed at students aged 16-19 in UK based schools and colleges.
Complete this survey to register and be a part of the programme. By signing up you are not committed to both years of the programme and you can let us know if you would like to stop at any time.
The programme is split into online activities and face to face workshops (dependent on Covid restrictions).
During year one of the programme four specially developed, short, asynchronous modules covering Quantum Technologies in the UK that can be used by your students will be made available to you. Each module is around 30 minutes long and will include links to the physics curriculum. Part of the output of these modules will be generating questions which you will be able to send to a Quantum Ambassador. In response to these questions an online Q&A session will take place that consists of a career focused chat from the Ambassador plus a Q&A between the Ambassador and your students.
During year two of the programme Quantum Ambassadors will be available to deliver free Quantum enrichment workshops in your school. These workshops will bring the world of Quantum to your students, showcasing the work of the four Quantum Hubs in the UK and linking the science and technology involved to the curriculum. Careers will be signposted, hopefully raising awareness of the growing number of opportunities available in the Quantum field.
